Vegetation cover (%) moved to the box Wet pond and now works to state per facility

  • 20 December, 202122 February, 2022

You can now change the vegetation cover(%) in the Wet pond-box specifically per facility. This makes it possible to specify which facility is a pond and wetland in series. Previously, it was only possible to state a total percentage of vegetation in the box Reduction efficiency, regardless of whether it was a separate facility or e.g. three facilities in series.

Now you can, for example, specify a pond with no vegetation in series with a pond with a small vegetation cover followed by a wetland with a lot of vegetation, which means that the total treatment effect is calculated specifically based on the contribution the vegetation makes for each facility. More vegetation in a facility can provide improved treatment in it, but lower outlet concentration which gives a slightly lower treatment effect in the facility downstream due to lower inlet concentration to that facility.

Vegetation must be activated with a “1” in the Reduction efficiency box to be included, but that is the default setting.
