Release notes v17.3.3
Adjusted methodology for easier dimensioning of filter strips
Instead of, as previously, having to input a type of inflow and changing the dimensioning water depth and/or water velocity to calculate a dimensional facility area, you now only need to enter a value of a dimensional regression constant. This value is part of a reduced watershed area, which means that, in principle, the same method is applied as for dimensioning the area of constructed wetlands and wet ponds, but with higher recommended values (greater surface area) for filter strips.
As an option, you can still adjust the previous parameters to obtain the appropriate length and width of the filter strip. The resulted treatment effect remains unchanged for the same facility area as before, as it is still calculated by the regression constant.
The equations are reported in the flow chart.
