Import/export to Excel
Import/export to Excel
Now it is possible to import / export area data for land uses with Excel.
A new icon (XLS) is placed in the flowchart to the left of the box (Sub)watershed area in the runoff model.
You can either export the project you are in at the moment, or import an Excel file.
Important to remember is that all the old land uses with area data are replaced completely with those
in the Excel file.
There´s a file for download that must be used when importing (Importera_Area_Data_en.xlsx).
If you use another file you will not be able to load it.
When exporting land use specific areas, you can use the same file and add or remove data and import the file again.
Important here is that in the Excel file you shall only add the values of land use areas and
area names, if you want. Nothing else should be done here.
Excel files are prepared to deal with square meters too.
Then it is important to change if you are using hectare or square meters (1 or 2).
If you choose 2 (square meters) the values are converted to hectares after you have imported them.
In this way, it is possible to share projects (land use areas) via e-mail, etc.
You can import all land uses and a total of 99 areas.
There are many areas of implementation.
You can for instance export area data from GIS to another Excel file and sort the data as in StormTac´s Excel template.
Then you copy and paste to the StormTac file, to be further imported to StormTac Web application.
This may save you a lot of time if there are many (sub)watershed areas.
